1. Setup Update tools

Download form http://www.szcreator.com/download.html or use the CD.

Double click the [Setup file] to setup the tool,install it and finish to setup. After finish setup , there is a icon of scanner in desktop.

2. Download the software

Download newest software from website:http://www.szcreator.com/download.html

3. Run the update tool

Double click the update tool icon and Run the update tool and Operate in accordance with photographs
Use the USB cable connected to scanner and PC, if connect ok,it will display like the following shows
Click[Update] button.
Open the newest version software file.
Select update file and click[open] button.
Into the upgrade interface, wait for the end of upgrade
WARNNING:
Do not power off during upgrade!
Do not Plug or Unplug USB tools during upgrade!
4.Start Update.Waiting for a few minutes. The software will update the scanner tool.Finish Update.When the update is finished ,
the screen on PC will show as
If update success, the software will display [Update success!];
If update not success, it will display [Update fail! Try again].
Press [finish] , the scanner is already updated ,and you can unplug the scanner from PC.

I’ve had my BMW Creator C110 code reader for almost 2 years (v3.4 at that time) and it’s read. I rushed to the small hand-held diagnostic scanner because my Engine Management Light illuminated. Here follows a little walk-through of how I diagnosed my car this time around.

Purchase & Package:

US$48 from obdii365.com, 5 days delivery, well packed with a carry case and bag (including a CD, C110 scanner main unit, 1*pc USB cable and reference manual book)
Diagnosing & Troubleshooting:

Locate the OBD diagnostic socket plate on the driver side foot-well and removed this to expose the OBD Socket cover, removing this reveals the OBD socket itself, into which inserts the C110 OBD2 code scanner plug

Turn the ignition off without starting the engine, Power on the scanner, the Startup Screen lights up and pressing OK on the keypad takes me to the DIAGNOSE menu
Next the scanner prompts to select the BMW model, my Model = 1 Series, Clicking OK again and select Chassis=E87

I then chose “Driver” control unit, clicked OK and chose “DME (Digital Motor Electronics)”module.

The C110 bring me another program where I was displayed software/hardware information

Select “Read trouble codes” and press OK button

The BMW C110 scanner reads a fault code:
2C55 OXYGEN SENSOR AGEING PERIOD
I go back to DTC menu and press “Erase fault code”. The fault code is successfully erased. (Seemed if the problem was not so serious)

Well, the engine management light on the dash went off. First job was done smoothly.

All remains is to turn ignition OFF before plugging the BMW C110 OBD scan tool from vehicle.

I had upgraded it to the V3.8, current latest. The only pity is that the new version does not reset airbags, but overall, it is truly not bad an investment. My fellow states old version v3.0 works good. I will contact my dealer to send me free v3.0 sw and have a test.

PS: What I found is that this little scanner comes with standard 16-pin connector, I then ordered a 20-pin to 16-pin diagnostic connector for further needs. I think the dealer offers the bundle dealer now
